New Shoes

WB2 got a pair of new shoes some time ago. However, being the sentimental kind, he refused anything new (except new toys of course) and wants to stick to his old pair (yes, regardless of how smelly or small it is becoming). Well, we didn’t want to push things too, so just leave it (the shoes) as it is. Then one day (yesterday, to be exact), as we were on our way out, I just subtly pointed out to him that there’s that pair of new shoes, and asked if he wants to try them. He looked at it, said “yes” and went ahead to wear the new pair. No protest, or any fuss. He has since (suddenly) gotten used to the new shoes and it’s now his preferred choice. I guess kids will grow up when they’re ready to. There's nothing we can do to hasten or to retard the process.

Coughing bees

It started with WB2 (or so I think). He with his cough and running nose.. and soon it spreads to QB and the little WB3 as well. It's as if we are having a symphony of coughs, especially at night, where we take turns to cough non-stop. At least for WB2 and myself.

Brought WB2 to Chinese TCM last fri and asked the doc for any home remedies. She told me to boil him 'pear water' to drink. Supposed to help in cough. So I did:

Alas, WB2 was having one of his days and refuse to drink even a sip of it! But all's not wasted as it goes to the other coughing bee, QB!

Beehive

Been a while since my last post. Been busy moving the 'beehive'. For those who have moved house before,  you will understand what we're going through. The many logistics to do, etc. Very tiring. Wont say the process is completed, but MOST things that should be done are done. Most. Not all.. The remaining few are still somewhat a headache. We are one of the first ones to move in, so the place is still quite quiet.  Think there's more mosquitoes than humans. Especially at night. Ironically, there's also a beehive downstairs:

Thankfully it has since been removed. Or so I was told.. But of course. Otherwise we could have some free honey??
