WB2's Girlfriend

Well, for those of you who reads this blog, you will realize that WB2 is still of a very tender age. And he has a girlfriend already?!?!

It all happened last night. QB was talking to WB1 on about her colleague’s children’s marriage (Read: In Singapore, the median age for marrying is well above 20. You can find more details and statistics here - http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/more-getting-divorced-fewer-getting-married-in-singapore-7912746.  So yes, we are actually talking about the real adults and not those wannabes.). As the story goes, QB was lamenting that after the Little Beez grow up, they too will find their own little version of QBs and leave the hive. Despite that, she wanted to engage in self-denial, that it is not going to happen. At least not so soon. To proof herself right, she turned to WB2 and asked:

“Eh WB2, do you have a girlfriend?”

“Yes”

“!!!! How many?!”

“One”

QB heaved a small sigh of relief but is not about to let matters rest. She continued to pursue:

“Who is it? Is it from your school? Your class? Who???”

WB2 then looked at QB and said shyly… “You…”

Awww…….. How touching. The two then proceed to engage in a loving embrace.

But dear readers, do not forget that while this is going on, somewhere in the background, there’s WB3. QB too remembered his presence and turned around to ask him:

“Yo! WB3. What about you. Do you have any girlfriend? How many girlfriends do you have?”

“One!”

“What! You have one girlfriend too?”

“Two!”

“What! Now becomes two?”

“Three!”

“!!! Three girlfriends?!”

“Four!”

“What?!”

“Five!”

“Ok WB3. You’d better stop counting now and start to tell me who they are!” At this, QB grabbed him at his girth and attempted to find some truth from him. But WB3 would hear none of it and he quickly wriggled away to continue his endeavors. And QB never did get to find out who those 5 were, or if she’s even part of it.  But at least she's consoled by the thought that she's the one and only for WB2. At least for now.

Century Square Closing Down Sale

Century Square (at Tampines) is having their closing down sale. Well, the building is not exactly closing down, but they shops are going to be closed by this month end (or so I heard) and the entire building will be under-going renovation.

When the Beez family went over there last weekend, some shops were already closed. I presume they have already managed to clear all their stock. But most of other remaining ones are slashing their prices. It's probably a good reason for sale. The biggest catch for the Beez was from Kiddy Palace (yes, toys were on sale too!) and from Value Dollar Shop. (Prices have been marked down even further. So it's more like Very Value Dollar Shop now!). You’ll know which shops are the ones with the REAL discount by looking at where the crowd gathers.

We thought we’ll have dinner at the food court but it was too crowded for us to find a seat. But of course, this is probably more because it was dinner time rather than food stalls also having slashed prices (Though the QB did toy with the idea of whether places like the food court or even the Supermarket at the Basement will ride with the wave and also start to hand out generous discounts. But of course, this will only happen in her wildest dreams.) So the Beez had to settle for nearby fast food. It’s certainly a treat for the two Little Beez. Fast Food (Read: Anything that comes in the fast food chain’s packing, ranging from French Fries to Rice. Pun unintended.) totally sits well with the Little Beez. It goes through big wide open mouths with no questions asked and get swallowed (dead or alive) at lightning speed. This certainly falls into QB’s plan as she is too tired after a long week to fight with 2 food-protesting Little Beez. And after the 2 Little Beez are nicely filled, they are ready to conclude the day and be sent home to be tucked into bed (the Bee Hive of course). J
